Here and Now

To ponder on who I am in Christ goes long and deep. It’s taking scripture, spiritual/natural giftings, and position through Christ to figure out what and where we can thrive for Christ, the body, and for our growth in the Lord.

I have a message on my heart that speaks louder than just an “update” from our family. It’s a crying out to the church…it’s a reaching out, taking by the shoulders and shaking that will get the body of Christ to give ear and listen.

On Tuesday the 21st of January, my family of 7 flew countless hours across the world to wake up the world to the gospel of Christ. It’s with absolute joy and fear of the Lord that we dedicated our entire lives to make His name known to the ends of the earth. “Why Africa?” people ask us all the time, and our response is simple and same every time…”Ask God”. We’ve come to this conclusion…people are people and all people are in need of a savior. Why Africa? Probably because our yes didn’t come with fine print unlike many others.

Dear friends, let’s get real. We aren’t here to build OUR kingdoms. We ARE here to build HIS.

With that said, I wanted to share a little on my current situation. Im sitting on the bathroom floor, in a little home, with my sleeping (all but me and Zoe)family in Livingstone, Zambia. Why am I not sleeping? Good question…ask Zoe:D (laughing emoji) -We have been having a tough time switching time zones with the kiddos(7 hours ahead). Today is day 5 and I thought we were going to have a good night, but Zoe thought otherwise.

We came down to Livingstones Overland Missions base in order to pick up Andreys motor bike and just so happened that it falls in line with meeting several other missionary families. In a short time we head up to Chipata with the two transportations to finally reach home sweet home. Please pray for safe travel, as its still raining here and the roads get a bit rough. Thank you to all of you who sow and continue sowing into our lives and the lives of others who are growing in Christ, receiving Christ, and are sent out by Christ. We love each and every one of you and are so excited for what the Lord is doing and going to do through your lives as well. Giving it all might require finances, time, and sacrifice…but it’s worth it. The greatest gift was given when Jesus laid His own life down for us…everything else falls short because He deserves eternal glory!

I want to encourage you all. Live in the “here and now” instead of the future. It’s one life we get to live, how will you live out yours? The Kingdom of God is eternal and we all have a part that we can play. That moment of when we stand before God’s throne, we will receive “well done good and faithful servant…enter into the Joy of your Lord” Matthew 25:23 That is what I want to hear. I hope this blessed you friends. Follow us on instagram and/or FB for daily stories from this side of the globe.
