“Have I not commanded you?! Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
Where do I even begin? Get ready for a download of updates:) As I reflect on the last several months, I’m blown away by how much has taken place and how little time I’ve reserved to update all of our supporters and ministry partners. First, we acknowledge the King of Kings presence in our lives and thank our Heavenly Father for layering us with His love and pouring out His Spirit upon all flesh. He is generous and so kind to us- people who were once wicked and evil, and are now beaming with light and fullness of His precious Holy Spirit. Our family is so humbled that He’s chosen us to represent Him in this nation of Zambia. Thank you friends for your obedience and partnership to bring His Kingdom to earth together. Here’s an update on the happenings in our area’s of influence.
Ministry: Andrey and I sent two of our local ministry partners (Edna and George) to Batoka Base(Southern Provence) for Overland Missions training (OMT) for 3 months. In these three months, they go through an intense training to where they are taught on so many incredibly important topics such as farming Gods way, identity in Christ, kids on fire training, worship, and so much more. After they graduate (Dec. 5th) they will then return back to Chipata and step into full-time ministry alongside our core Overland Team here. They are doing wonderfully and are so pumped/eager to put the revelations that God is giving them into practice!
Sekelani and Astone have been working hard in reaching their areas with the gospel, as well as leading queens revival meetings in multiple towns within Eastern Provence. To explain in short on what queens fellowship is and who they are for those who aren’t aware, queens are the chiefs/kings wives. Zambia has over 200 districts that are governed by kings. They are treated as royalty and have a great amount of influence on their people. Each chief has approximately several thousand people within their district(give or take). We have the privilege and platform that God has given us to minister to them through out the nation of Zambia and soon into other nations. Sekelani just helped officiate the first queens gathering in the North West Provence a few weeks ago and they received the gospel with such joy and openness ! Another queens revival fellowship is coming up in November. We are expecting a mighty move of the Holy Spirit to touch our royal friends and our heart and prayer is that they touch the people in their districts and have a good influence on their husbands the kings!
Andrey and Astone have been working directly with the chaplains(the right hand men/women to the chiefs and chiefteness) on visiting their homes, gathering them for fellowship in groups and eating meals with them in order to ask questions and be available for them. Their purpose is to keep the chaplains accountable in their role as well as to help make sure that they are growing in a deeper love and relationship with the Lord.
Tessa and Austin got married last month in Texas and have started developing their team of support to come back to Chipata in March 2022. They are having a wonderful time catching up with friends, as well as preaching and speaking at different churches and events. They currently have several ministry partners following up with their areas of influence with continuing to bring the Word of God to the people even if they themselves are in the states for the next few months.
Jackson and Cynthia have been faithfully raising up their team of support in Lusaka for the last several months and we are so happy to announce that they are officially launching into Chipata in December! We are so proud of them for persevering even when they encountered challenges along the way but they did it by faith and God has come through. Our family is so excited for their family of 6 to move here and start impacting new areas for the Kingdom of God!
We’ve hosted several expedition teams, staff leaders and our motor bike crew here in our home over the duration of the last few months. It’s been an absolute joy to host them and pull on their wisdom, strength, and gifts at the same time. Together, we were able to train up more chaplains, visit more chiefs/queens, dream a little more and cast vision for this area and encourage the body here in Chipata.
I’ve personally had the privilege of attending several royal weddings as well as visit queens/cheifs at their palaces where together our team was able to encourage, share and pray for the royal highnesses. Sometimes you begin to pinch yourself thinking, am I really here? I’ve posted a link of a short video that I made at the end of this post. Friends, it is an absolute honor to carry Christ Jesus-the hope of glory within us. When we look to Him, everything else fades. All fear, all worry, all anxiety of the future…because by faith we have received Him, and by faith we walk with Him.
Family: Our little Zoe girl is a full digit, and sporting the cutest walking waddle! She brings so much light and joy into every room she walks in and we are just so blessed by her life! Moses, Leila, Isaac, and Ella are also growing extremely fast and I blame it on all the organic veggies we get at the markets.lol. In a month or so we should be receiving a barrel with their new school year curriculum so they are all step up into new grades! Kindergarten, 4th, 5th, and 7th. Homeschooling isn’t easy, but I’m so grateful for christian curriculums that teach my students(children) the depths of history, bible, math and so on so that I have the freedom to go minister on some days and grade their papers later. In honor of Zoe’s birthday, we went on a little day trip to our local Zoo-safari-where we celebrated her. On one of our trips, we got a little too close to a few lions. Thankfully they weren’t in the mood for humans so here we are today-lol.
We took a family trip to our main base in Livingston several weeks ago for a week of revival. It’s a time where we spend all week pressing into the Lord with up to 3 meetings a day, meals in between and even managing to in squeeze some coffee, volleyball, and meetings. Fellowship/friendships, are gifts and we don’t often have these opportunities to gather, but when we do, we jump in head first and think about sleep later! Kids had such a fun time with other missionary friends where they played, swam, and worshipped together. Ella received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and since then, she hasn’t missed a single meeting! I watched as Isaac prostrated his hands wide and eyes closed in adoration of Jesus. What a joy it is to see your children lifting their hands to the Lord and worshipping Him! If we are about the Father’s business, He will be about our children’s business…in all aspects. Physical, emotional, and spiritual!
Currently, we are about 1-2 weeks away from moving into our renovated home that’s only 10 mins away from the current home. If you follow me on instagram, you get to see and watch my updates on how it’s coming along. Excitement is arising in our house, as the kids have began packing their things and drawing out their rooms to how they will arrange their beds and school desks. Andrey and I are also excited about a quieter living space and larger space to accommodate our discipleship groups, Overland team, and our 5 kiddos. The property is quite big and theirs another small home on the property which we plan to remodel in the near future as well for international guests/Overland visitors to stay in during visits.
Theirs SO much more to share, but I’m afraid I must cut it short for the sake of time. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your continued support through prayers, finances, and encouraging calls/messages. We are so grateful for you and pray that the Lord would lavish you with His blessings as you continue to be faithful in your calling- whatever that may be, and however way that looks. If you currently aren’t a part of our amazing support team and would like to be, I’ll tell you how you can become a monthly/annual partner. If you want to give a one-time gift, that would be an incredible blessings as well. Here’s How:
