We all know the saying, “when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade”. The original interpretation would be, if hard things are thrown your way in life, make the best of what you’ve got. But, if you think about it, the lemons don’t make the lemonade, but it’s the combination of sugar, water and lemon concentrate that makes the drink pleasant to drink. The life we’ve been given to live wasn’t designed to be lived without the sweetness of the Holy Spirit. The presence of God makes the persecution, tribulation and hardships simply not as difficult, in fact, a joy when you allow Him to fight your battles.
Jesus gave all of Himself so that you can be restored back to your original identity- blameless, clean, new, heir. You give ALL of yourself to Him because that’s what love does. God SO loved the world that as a result for His love, He gave us His only Son so that through Jesus, Father God would inherit more sons and daughters into His Kingdom. What a wild and reckless love that is. Reckless doesn’t mean in a sense that Gods actions are without thought-NOT AT ALL! But a Holy, deep love He chooses to give even if the “world ” doesn’t reciprocate that love in return. For us it seems reckless, for Him it’s simply LOVE. Read 2 Corinthians chapter 13.
A little update on the family & ministry: Andrey and I are currently looking at airline tickets to book to return to the states for our home assignment for a few months. A shout out to our friends who partnered in this financially- May the Lord bless you abundantly in your home and business 100 times in return for your generous hearts! You are the result of our answered prayer! Our kiddos have been working hard through out the year on their school and look forward to a much needed break once we arrive in the states. We are celebrating a few more birthdays next month, as well as Andrey and I’s 15 year wedding anniversary in November. I’ve come more and more aware that family will challenge you in every way- it’s taught us so much about the Fathers love, about covenant, and growing principles. I’m so very thankful for my tribe! On a separate note-ministry has been exploding…I literally can’t begin to find a beginning or an end. I share probably 2% of what happens here on a daily. We look forward to sitting across the table with you in the next few months and sharing about the goodness of God in the nations, in our hearts passions, and hearing what Gods been doing in your life.
Last week, the team jumped into our vehicle and took off to a royal wedding for Malama chiefdom in the middle of a game park (safari territory) about 4 hours away from our home one-way. The funny thing is that we weren’t certain on the exact location besides the name of the palace and in the direction we were to drive. We had no cell service and at some points we weren’t sure which path to take when they split into two. I’m slightly chuckling as a few scenarios come flooding back as we crossed over sketchy bridges and dirt terrain. I’ll have to make a video clip of it so that you can get a glimpse. The ride was nauseating but thrilling at the same time- Andrey has mastered driving the roads in Africa lol. Overland has a slogan, ANY ROAD, ANY LOAD, ANY TIME. Meaning, I’ll cross any bridge, any terrain, with as many people as my vehicle can carry, to bring Jesus’ light to that area.
After the wedding festivities subsided, we were given the platform to speak before the chief (which has been now reigning for nearly 50 years) and declare the Word of the Lord to Him, encourage, and bring hope to this zone. The area was filled with darkness-(drunkenness, immorality, and witch craft), this is -unfortunately- a common problem to arrive to. Without Jesus, people are lost in the desires of this world, BUT when our feet stood on that ground for the first time, we came to represent Jesus, and this area will never be the same again. We claimed that area for the Lord and it WILL come to pass that this household (and others around) will serve the Lord and everyone will see their light and come toward it. As we go into these new areas, we come up with strategies on how to continue evangelizing and making disciples that will make strong and effective leaders. That’s the key to having success in ministry. Evangelize, make disciples, train up leaders so that they can become reproducers of disciple making.
Friends, Jesus is so incredible. The refreshment of His presence and the burning of His love becomes so evident in your life when you allow the Holy Spirit to invade your every room in your soul. The blood of Jesus testifies of His faithfulness and commitment to the Father, the Father exalts His son for His obedience, and the Holy Spirit excites, glorifies, and makes Jesus so real. A perfect unity that honors and cares for their creation.
[The level of your understanding of Him will never reach it’s end…He is much to vast, deep, long and heavy…we GET to spend eternity getting to know Him]
