Tis’ the Season

Welcome to all my readers, new and old. A little background to those who ARE new…My name is Yana. I’m an author. I am also a minister of the gospel along with my amazing husband and 5 kiddos. We stepped into full-time ministry in 2018. We have been living in Zambia for the past 6 years.

The heart behind this post and the many posts from years past is to bring encouragement to you- THE CHURCH. My desire is to help grow the family of God in maturity. I seek to develop character and revelation of who we are. I also want to deepen our understanding of our life purpose as believers. Andrey, the children and I live amongst remote people groups in strategic areas of the world. Our aim is to reach the lost with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We also have a great desire to impact those who are already walking with Him now. We hope to influence future generations too. As you’ve already picked up, these posts are targeted for born again Christians.

Another important piece of information is that my posts are usually open to the public (social media). However, there are some exceptions. Certain information is censored. A password would be required to access a post. You can join our email list for access to our updates. To join, send me an email at yana.gorlachev@gmail.com, and I’ll get you on that mailing list.

With that said…I hope that this season of gratitude and giving is full of peace for you and your family. It can get a little out of hand at times. You want it out of mind and over with otherwise. I’m here to remind you that it will all get done and be fine. Set 20 minutes aside, make yourself a hot(or cold beverage) and get a glimpse of a bigger picture.

This is the verse that came to mind. “The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness of it. The world and they who dwell in it”…and continues…”For He has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the currents and the rivers. Who shall go up into the mountains of the Lord? Or who shall stand in His Holy Place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted himself up to falsehood, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation.” Psalm 24:1-5. I always encourage reading the chapter before and the remainder of the chapter to understand the full context.

Who told you that this is the enemy’s land?

As carriers of the Holy Spirit that we acquired when we received Christ, we have to KNOW what we have. The Authority that we carry, and who we are and what He says we are. The battle of identity has been around since the beginning of creation and it’s very prevalent in todays society. A friend of ours pastor Mike once gave an example. A carpenter was looking for his pencil everywhere. He couldn’t locate it. However, the pencil was never lost in the beginning…it was just behind his ear. If you are born again, then you are SAVED. You also HAVE the Holy Spirit. When you HAVE Him, then you can ask for any gift. He will give according to your desire. He will also give based on your maturity in handling the gift.

Many believers get it confused and say “that is for the elites!”. NOPE. WRONG. God does not show partiality to anyone. If you don’t believe it, then look in the WORD. Don’t go off of experiential knowledge.

If we are IN Christ (Jesus) then we are a NEW creation. Therefore, we have been given dominion and authority to take back what is the Lords. This is found in the New Testament because of what Jesus did on the cross. THEREFORE, let us walk in a clear understanding of what our assignment is…Go to the last book of Acts and read.

Homework: Find all the verses in scripture about WHO God is and WHAT He says you are. Then write these attributes out on sticky notes and place them in visible areas of your home. Read through them when you run into them and watch your family catch on as well.

Alright, looks like our 20 minutes are up! My hope is that you got something from this and stirs up a hunger to know Him more.

Stay tuned for an exciting life update coming in the next few weeks. It will be secured so you’ll need access using a pass code. Again, either reach out to me on instagram with your email- yana.gorlachev or email me at yana.gorlachev@gmail.com.

Take care my friends, a very Merry Christmas to you and your family from ours and until next time,

Yana Gorlachev
