Soulsavers

That’s you and I friends, we are called to cast out darkness with OUR light. To throw out the life float into the deep and dark waters, where people find themselves in hopelessness, guilt and shame…Jesus is the Lifesaver float that provides the hope, but someones got to cast it into that place of despair, isn’t that right?

Dearest faithful friends, family and ministry partners. We make a great team! Together, we are changing the atmosphere in villages, towns, and cities! Here are some happenings from last month!

It’s been a great month of tag team ministering with our other Overland team mates here in Chipata. We’ve gotten acquainted with the city, met many locals, plugged in with local churches and had began planning for what ministry in Chanje will look like. For those who aren’t aware of what and where Chanje is, it’s an area outside of Chipata(a little over an hour away) that has been assigned to Andrey and I by our sector managers. Together with our children, we are to focus primarily on ministering in that area multiple times a week. What that looks like is Andrey and I will go out 3-5 times a week into Chanje and lead bible studies, men and women groups, childrens ministry, pastor/leaders training, and of course house to house ministry! We are responsible for the spiritual growth within Chanje and surrounding areas that our ministry partners are in. We are to raise up disciples that aren’t christians who just attend church twice a week, but have zeal and fire to see their nation saved!

We have already met with the Chief of Chanje and local leaders to where we have received permission and blessing to come and begin to work in their area. That’s casting out demons, healing the sick, raising the dead, preaching the gospel at all costs, and allowing the Holy Spirit do what He does best…empowering men, women and children of all ages to declare His word!

Some days myself or Andrey will remain with our children to ensure that school is being completed and they are understanding whats being taught, as well as taking care of logistical things on our base. For the times that we are out of town for the day, we have a wonderful auntie to watch our children. Sharon is wonderful and has been trained to attend to the children’s basic needs, even helping with homeschooling. She is a blessing to our family and our children have already learned to love and respect the authority she carries in our home.

Last week we had an expedition team of 9 Americans along with 4 Overland Missionary expedition leaders come out to Chipata (a 2 day journey) in order to expose the team to 3rd world ministering. It was so incredible to have them here because in 1 day, as a team, they covered more ground than we could have covered in 2 weeks. We can’t wait to tell you all about it in the next newsletter! Speaking on that note, if you don’t follow me on Facebook or instagram and would like to stay updated on ministry and daily activities, at the end of this post Ill add my instagram name so that you can Follow Us!

A few testimonies from this week:

Last Friday, my team member and good friend Tessa went out to a minister in a building where women gather every week. These women are new believers. Sue(a good friend) spoke on the Holy of Holies and the veil that was torn because of what Jesus has done so that we could have access to Father God. It was a great message and their were many who gave their life to the Lord after. I had a chance to speak, yet I had prepared nothing as I wasn’t expecting to preach. Yet the Lord is teaching me that I must be ready at all times. So, I came up and began with Jesus is Lord!!! The next 10 minutes it was all the Holy Spirit! After ministering the word, we always follow up with prayer for others. We go into another building next door and people line up to get prayed for. Sometimes it’s for healing, but this particular case we had on that day was quite the event. A lady came in and complained of being epileptic. If you don’t already know, that’s demonic. She was about in her 40’s and she has been like this since she was little. She has episodes which here are known as fits. She mentioned that this week she has already had 4. The demons would torment her as she is taking a bath, in the middle of cooking a meal over the fire or sleeping. We had no translator in that moment so we just laid hands and began to declare “JESUS”. She immediately began to convulse which turned into a messy deliverance for the next 30 minutes. We had asked her if she was willing to receive Jesus as her savior and she said “Yes! I receive!”.We prayed with her, and asked the Holy Spirit to captivate her heart and fill her so that she would be made full of Him for the rest of her days. I wish you could have seen her before and after! As she was leaving, she came up to me and with such pure joy and gratefulness, she lifted me off the ground and yelled “Thank you Madam, Thank you!!”

Andrey and I attended a marriage conference that is held once a month this past weekend. We were asked if we could share something from our lives, Andrey had the a suggestion of sharing some hardships we had encountered earlier on in our walk together where communication played a key role in. I had forgotten how powerful are testimony really was since we haven’t shared about it in some time! As I listened to Andrey and I speak, a fresh gratitude of thanksgiving was offered to the Lord for restoring my marriage. With that, I want to encourage you friend. Every single person has a testimony that glorifies God. Don’t be afraid to be vulnerable and open up with others whom you might not even know. A chance to sow a seed or to harvest a soul is up to the amount of Word that has been dropped into that persons life. It’s up to the Holy Spirit to do the complete work, but we need to be willing and obedient.

Ahh, there is nothing like it my dear friends…nothing like ushering souls into the adoption agency through Jesus Christ. I ask the Lord almost everyday to never allow myself to get “used to” souls coming into His Kingdom…but I want to rejoice as much as He rejoices when they do. There is so much to share, but I’m afraid that it can’t be all written down in this post, perhaps we will just need to write a book one day of all that the Lord is doing here!

Our family is currently on base of Overland Missions Rapid 14 that’s located in Livingstone in order to do some maintenance on our vehicle (installing some new shocks and struts). We are preparing our Land Cruiser for the roads, especially the ones coming for us during rainy season. We wanted to reach out to all of you and ask if you would help us raise finances for new all terrain tires as we currently have the original set which isn’t designed for roads such as ours. Just go to www.overlandmissions.com/donate and input our name “Gorlachev 3244M” and that ensures that the full amount goes into our account. Thanks friends!

We also were able to attend AMT graduation of our dear friends Kathy & Russell Thomas. We are so proud of you and are so excited for what the Lord has in store as you both begin your journey into launching into a new country! Congratulations on completing the 3 month training course with excellence! The nations are crying out for sons and daughters to step up to their calling, what are YOU waiting for?

We are honored…honored and privileged to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Thank you to all of you friends who support us in prayer, financially, and follow our stories. Our purpose is to inspire you to be the hands and feet of Jesus in your areas and where God has called you to. That’s our purpose in this life…and I’ll tell you what…It’s the most gratifying thing you will ever find to be.

So here’s a break down of how you and your family can pray for us!

  1. For the paramount chief to surrender his life to the Lord Jesus Christ, renounce witchcraft, and begin to disciple other high leadership.
  2. Declare Chanje for Jesus, and that the Holy Spirit would pour out over each individual!
  3. Protection over our home as we minister to people in bondage to demonic spirits.
  4. Health, peace and unity amongst our team.
  5. Safe drive from Livingstone to Chipata

We want to know how we can pray for you specifically. Send us a message on Instagram and we will stand and believe with you!

Questions? Send us a message! We love and bless you in Jesus name!

Till next time, The Gorlachev Family
