Grace Bubble

Bless the Lord Oh my soul and all that is within me, bless His Holy Name. For He is worthy of our time, worthy of our finances, worthy of our lives, to Him be the glory, power and the honor in Jesus name…

Dearest Friends and World Changers,

We serve a great God don’t we? My heart is overflowing with gratitude to our Lord Jesus for the grace He gives each of us in order to complete our purposes here on earth.

This month marked half a year of living in our new home here in Zambia. People say things like, “I could never do what you guys do!” or “it must be so difficult to live in a 3rd world country with small children!” and our reply? “it’s not difficult when you do it for the one whom your soul loves, and lives for.” It’s the first time in my life to where I felt the tangible GRACE of God last week. I’ll share about it a bit after a little update on ministry and the fambam:)

Chanje(the district we work in predominately) has been getting hit by the power of God every week! In our meetings, the truth of the gospel is being preached, numbers in attendance are climbing every week, people are being healed, empowered by the Holy Spirit, set free from bondages, baptized, taught and equipped with the Word of God and sent out to do the same. Praise God!

This Past Thursday we started a course to equip the children and men/women who aren’t able to read or write. Edna(my ministry partner and friend) and I have taken on another role as English/Nyanja teachers for the purpose of equipping them to read the Word of God on their own. We had asked the head women to get a sign up sheet ready with everyone who is willing to learn and attend and the numbers astounded me. 66 people signed up to attend! Keep in mind that the villages of Kaninga and Veronica are very big. Thursday approached us and we didn’t know what to expect, but we were prepared with pencils, notebooks, and happy hearts to serve. Many people showed and were blessed by learning A E I O U 🙂 in addition to basic rules and sounds that are foundational in the Nyanja language. The Head man and Head woman of the two villages surprised us with their plans to build us a building specifically for teaching and equipping their people! How neat is that?! They don’t need the white people to come in and build them a church(they are capable of doing that themselves) but what they do need are people who are willing to pay the price of comfort, obey the voice of God and follow in obedience.

If you feel that the Lord is calling you to the nations, please contact me or Andrey personally. God is stirring up the hearts of many laborers more than ever it seams, revival is coming to the ends of the earth!

Thank you for partnering up to establish the Kingdom of God culture here on earth by giving . May your home be blessed in return in Jesus name!

Continuation of my story:

The grace of God was so tangible in my room that night. The kids were all deep in their sleep and Andrey had just finished telling me what was on his heart, I felt the Holy Spirit speak words of truth and comfort into his life and as we finished conversing, he quickly fell asleep. As I laid in my bed, I felt a heavy burden on my heart that I hadn’t felt before. It was as if I had been given a heavy load to carry that I was clearly in no shape to take on. Galatians 6 came into mind. I simply walked into my dark living room and plopped onto the rug and began to sob. I saw myself immediately seeing my life with logic and in the lens of this world and it all became frightening and depressing. It’s as if I had chosen to willing climb out of my “grace bubble” for the first time in my faith walk with the Lord. After a few minutes, I began to thank Jesus for the cross and for willingly taking my burdens upon Himself 2,000 years ago. Then,I literally handed those burdens over to Him. As I did, I felt an immediate weight lifted and a peace come over me. I then followed my hallway back to my room, climbed back into my “grace bubble” and fell fast asleep. See, we weren’t created to carry weight. Jesus spoke these words in Matthew, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble of heart; and you will find rest. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:25-30

If your carrying something and it’s been pulling you down, may this be a word for you. Let it go, and give it to Jesus. He wants to set you free so that you can continue to walk in victory. Friends, the pure life God calls us to live isn’t always rainbows, ponies, and wild flowers. He never promised us an easy life, but what He does promise us is that He will never leave us or forsake us. He gives us grace in areas of our lives where the task that awaits us is literally impossible to complete in our own strength. The task in our own strength would be a joke, a “fail”, and so the Lord provides us with GRACE to get the job done well. “So take heart! I have overcome the world!” -John 16:33

Love you friends, remember that you are loved, blessed, and highly favored by the Lord.

Till next time,

The Gorlachevs
